Breast Cancer Warrior Games is not the first event that we have created to raise awareness and support of breast cancer. In March of 2021 we supported the ILoveBoobies campaign and created the 100 Rows for 100 Screenings event. You can read the full article regarding our previous event by clicking on the link below.

This is our second event, where CrossFit South Africa has partnered with us to further raise awareness on the importance of regular breast cancer screenings and making a direct impact in South Africa through providing funds to those woman who cannot afford these services.

After a very personal expierence with breast cancer, Rosa-Marie Cronje and Monice Cox decided to create an unique event where people of the community can come together, be active, be competitive and have fun all whilst contributing to a good cause. All entry fees will go towards sponsoring mammograms and breast screening altrasounds with the help of Non-profit company, Screen Her Save Her.

The incidence of breast cancer among South African women is increasing and it is one of the most common cancers among women in South Africa. It is the most prevalent cancer amongst white and Asian women and the second most common cancer among black and coloured women.

Facts about breast cancer...

According to the latest statistics, 1 in 25 South African women may be diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection of breast cancer provides more treatments options, better quality of life, and less-invasive surgical procedures.

A mammogram and breast ultrasound are the weapons that women have at their disposal to increase their chances of detecting breast cancer at an early stage.

If you are younger than 40 years of age: Do a breast self-examination every month.
